Jedi Knight 2 is a great game. I first played the demo, and I loved it. I wanted the full game.

JK2 uses the Quake III engine. Which is good, cause JK2 looks real nice. The story is our hero Kyle has cast his Jedi powers away and has become regular again. Then someone says, "Hey! You gotta do something for me!" Since Kyle is one of those people who does stuff like that, he says OK! Then he goes along on his little adventure until he meets a really bad bad person named Desan. Kyle can't beat him without the force, so he goes back to the Valley of the Jedi to get his force powers back. But you don't get them ALL back. You have to re-learn them. Then you need to go to the Jedi Academy to find your light saber. Once you do all that you are set. Then you go on your little adventure until you beat the game.

Along the way you get to fight plenty of "Jedi's" called Reborn. They aren't real Jedi's though.

There are several different things from Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight. One is, you can't go to the dark/light side. Awww. But don't worry. You still get really cool force powers. Like Force Lightning and Force Grip. My favorite way to kill people is to Grip them, lift them HIGH into the air and drop them so they fall to their death.

The thing with force powers is, there are 3 levels. As you progress in your Jedi ways, your force powers get more powerful until they reach level 3.

Also, you learn more force powers, you also learn different light saber fighting styles. The default is Medium. Then you learn Fast. This is really good for light saber duels. Then there is the Strong light saber style. That's really slow, but really powerful. You can switch between style by pressing the L key.

The multiplayer is pretty fun. There are several different multiplayer modes. Duel, which is like a tournament thing. FFA, which is your standard Free For All. CTF, also your standard Capture The Flag. Jedi Master, where only one person has a light saber and force powers, and you have to kill him to get his light saber. And several other modes.

The only thing wrong with it is it was too short. Of course, JK2 is short compared to Half-Life. But I think the best part of the game was how you beat it. You can do it the conventional way, or you can do it the REALLY funny way. You can figure it out. The funny way is the easiest though.
