12.30.02- O:FP
I played Operation Flashpoint, and its pretty cool. I like all the vehicles and stuff. But its just one simple thing that keeps me from playing it. When you die, you have to start the mission over. There is no quick save in it. To me that is crucial in a game. It just gets old. And there isn't really any way to keep from dying. Cause you either get blown up or shot from someone you had no idea they were there. And there is no such thing as cover.
But I know some people who love O:FP. But for me, I don't really like it.
I've noticed something. A lowercase L and the number 1 look a lot alike. 1l1l1l1l1l1l... see?
12.27.02- hmm
Yesterday, I was at my school's library helping my dad put in some vents in the back of the computer desks. I had to unhook all the comps, then when he was done, hook em all back up. It was pretty monotonous cause the comps were all the same. I got paid though! Well, not yet, but I will. I worked for 3 and a half hours. Not bad since I'm not working during the Christmas break.
12.26.02- D'oh
Doesn't seem like this is daily anymore does it? Things seem to be going slow now that I got Christmas break. I didn't really get much for Christmas. Just some music, a game, cell phone, and a kazoo. Oh yeah, a shirt from Thinkgeek. It's the power symbol.
I think I might get a new hard drive pretty soon. Cause I only have like 2 gb left on my 20gb hd. And just reformatting isn't gonna cut it. I just need some more space. One of the reasons is my family went to Williamsburg one vacation and I was the one filming, and I got a ton of footage. So I want to take that and make like a documentary or something. That would be cool. But I need the space to import all of it.
12.24.02- Merry Christmas (eve)
It's that time again. The time when we selflessly spend all our hard earned money on everyone besides us, in hopes that we will get something in return. But that's not what Christmas is about! Christmas is a Christian holiday! And by golly, I'm gonna celebrate it like one! That's why I got my Santa hat on. He he he he....
12.21.02- Eh... it was ok.
Well, I saw the Two Towers, and I think I like the FotR better. It seems like that the second one's story wasn't as good. It was mostly action. Of course I suppose that the first one built up the story for it. I dunno. It was still a good movie.
And I finally found out about the trees. Eh... I guess they were pretty cool. Especially at the ending.
Oh yeah. My Christmas break started yesterday. So now I have some time to do nothing.
12.19.02- Alrighty
Looks like the LOTR thing is a go. I got 5 advanced tickets to The Two Towers and my surround sound system all waxed up. I haven't seen the Two Towers yet and I won't till Saturday. From what I hear, it is the best movie in the world. I hear it will make you cry and make you die and all sorts of other good things. I haven't heard anything bad about it though. Almost makes it too good to be true.
Another thing I hear about is the trees. What is the deal with the trees? Everyone is like, "THE TREES!! THE TREES!!" I won't know what they are talking about till Saturday. You can probably tell I haven't read the books. I guess I should have to make everything make sense. But everything makes sense! I mean I need to read them so that I will get more out of the story. I guess I'll read them when I got time. Cause they are LONG!!!
12.14.02- Bah!
Well, I got there at around 9am, and the guy is like, "We've had a mix-up with our flyers and our website and stuff. Seems like some people think its gonna be at 9am and others think its gonna be at 9pm. There's a team from Texas that's coming at 9pm, so we're gonna move the tournament up to then."
Well, great. I just got up for nothing. But he did let me stay and play for free. The place was kind of small. Well, it was smaller than what I thought it was gonna be. While I was there, playing for free, 3 other mistaken people came in and so we just played 2 vs. 2 for a little while. I left around lunch cause I was getting kind of hungry.
I didn't go back either to go to the tournament cause it would have ended pretty late. Oh well... maybe next time they will get everything straightened out.
12.13.02- Wish me luck!
Tomorrow I will be going to that tournament. I hope I win. Even if I don't, I can still see where I stand. Now when I play Counter-Strike, I don't really play it for fun anymore, I play it to get better. Which is good I guess. As long as I'm still having fun. I'll give a nice long report of what happened when I get back. Three things might happen. 1) I will do terrible and get eliminated very quickly. 2) I will do pretty good, but toward the end I will be eliminated or 3) I will do awesome and kill everyone and win.
I don't know how well I'll do, because how well I do depends on how good my opponents are, and my team mates are. If everything goes smoothly, I might win. I just hope for the best.
12.12.02- Happy Birthday!
Today was my mom's birthday! And I didn't do anything! Aren't I a good son?
Anyway, I got a lot of info about that Counter-Strike match from an e-mail I got. I think it's gonna be awesome!!
I also updated the Muffin Man page.
12.11.02- Sound's like a plan!
Well, now my problem is solved. The guy that is bringing the extended version will not make it. So I will go to the Counter-Strike match. Man, that makes me feel a lot better now that I know what I'm gonna do. We will probably watch it next weekend or something. Then RIGHT after that we will see the Two Towers. It will be AWESOME!!!
12.10.02- It's LANtastic!
Well, if only the name wasn't so gay. It's actually LANtasmic. It's based on that Fantasmic thing from Disneyland. What is it? It's a new LAN Center that we got in our town. It's great, and they are gonna have a Counter-Strike tournament on Saturday. But, it's gonna last all day on Saturday and I'm planning on having some friends over to watch the extended version of LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring on my new surround sound system on Saturday too. So it's either that or the other. I have something that will help me make a decision. The guy that has the extended version might not make it, and if he doesn't then I can just go ahead and go since... ya know... there won't be anything to watch! But if he does make it, then I just won't go... I mean, there will be other tournaments! Right?

12.6.02- That's weird
I had a weird dream last night. And I don't know why I had it. I dreamed that I had bought a drag racer for $50. I was at this weird auction and the guy is like, "The bidding starts at $20!" So I handed in $20. Then he's like, "Ok, how about $50?" I put in $30 more and then he's like, "We have a winner!!" I was pretty excited. Not about having a drag racer. Because what would I do with it? I was mostly excited about getting a good deal on it and then later I could sell it for a lot of money. Well, maybe I would take a test drive first. The drag racer looked something like this.
12.5.02- I'm happy
Don't ask me why... but I'm in a good mood. I just got back from watching a school play and it was pretty dang good. I was impressed. You would think just a dinky little high school would just throw something together and it would be acceptable, but I was impressed. It was the first play on our new stage, so that's why it was so special.
I killed a spider today too. Those creatures from the Devil! It was pretty big. Like two inches big. Leg span that is. I used a big ole dictionary to kill it too. Then I left its splattered guts there as a warning to all the other spiders. Ah.... now for some Counter-Strike....
12.4.02- HOLY MESS!
Two posts two days in a row! Something must be goin weird. Well, I think I might just start updating this site daily. Even if it is just a stupid phrase, or a rant or an opinion, or something stupid like that.
So now, I have a nice little story for you. A few days after September 11, 2001, there was a nice little convenience store in the middle of nowhere, that had a Iranian store manager, two guys, and a Pepsi man refilling a drink machine. Sounds like a setup for a joke huh? Well, the Iranian store manager started talking about how it was all our fault that September 11 happened and stuff like that. Well he kept talking and then all of a sudden, out of rage, the Pepsi man jumped over the counter and attacked the store manager. It took both of they guys to pull him off.
What's the moral of this story? Drink Pepsi, of course! The good ole red, white AND blue. They didn't forget a color, like some other people.... *cough* coke! *cough*.....
12.3.02- Wo!
I don't know what it is, but I decided to put a post up. I've decided that I'm gonna be a director when I "grow up". "Director of what???" you may ask? I don't see why people keep asking me this! What's the first thing that comes to mind when you hear of a director? It should be movies. Cause to me, that just makes sense.
I really wanna make a short movie, and I've written two scripts. One is a script that I made from Life for Linux Addicts. The other is about this guy that can imitate this other guy, and he plays all these jokes on this other guy and stuff. It's pretty funny. At least to me.
Right now, I'm going over the script with a few of my friends and we are gonna decide what needs to be changed and stuff. I really wanna get started on filming over the Christmas break. Cause, that seems like the only time when people will have time to do it. Unless they are traveling. That would be bad. I know I won't be going anywhere. At least I don't think I will.
Maybe when it is done, I'll put it on some internet "hard drive" so that you can download it. Cause I'm sure it will be bigger than 20mb. Here is the link to the script.
