4.7.02- License

Well, I got it. And here is how it went. I had a lady give it to me. She was like, "Ok, turn on your car and I will give you instructions." I did, and then I thought she said, "Turn off your signal." I was like huh? Finally, we figured it out and she really said, "Turn on your signal." After that it was a piece of cake. She was like, "Ok, go down this road." I did. "Now turn here." I did. "Now, turn around at this church." I did. "Now, lets go back."

I thought that since we were going back so soon, that I had done something wrong. We got back to the place, she got out and went in. I had no idea if I had gotten it or not. Then she called my name and I went up there. The first time I realized that I had gotten it was when she said, "That will be $5." When she said that I was like whew!

12.8.01- The Test

I went to the place to get my license, and everything seemed all dandy, but then they guy saw that my tag was expired so he wouldn't let me take the test. This was several weeks ago and the tag had expired back in August. I got a new tag (actually its a sticker with the new year on it) and I will go back sometime.

10.20.01- The Driving page is up!

Yup. It's that time. I will get my license in November, but I have my permit. I got my permit in May, and I got to have it 6 months before I get my license. I am 16 but I still got to wait! Poo!!

Now you probably have read stories on the internet about people running away from the cops and speeding and doing all this crazy mess. Well, I'm not that type of person. But if that were to happen then this would be the place to hear about it.

Anyway, this is what I'm driving!!

A brown 1979 Toyota Celica!!

To the right are some pics of a 79 Celica. They're not mine, but hey, just pretend it's brown and the paint job is a little.... faded.

Once I get a digital camera or something like that I will be able to to give you actual shots. But for now this is the best I can do.

It's name is "The Muffin". Cause it looks like a muffin right? Well, maybe not, but still its a cool name!!

The Muffin drives like a car, eh, well, I don't have much experience to tell you EXACTLY how it drives.

But the stereo is another story!!

Ok, there are only 2 speakers! One on the left of the dashboard, the other on the right. And sometimes the right speaker doesn't work, and ya gotta thump the little volume knob. There is no CD player, or even a tape player! All there is is a radio. There isn't even an antenna. There's just these little wires that go all over the windshield. I guess they wanted to make it "streamlined" since it is a "sports car" (or was at one time).

Now, the manual says that its a V4, with 90 horsepower! Hot Dang!! Now since this car is a "sports car" I gotta put Plus gas in it. Guess you can't put trash in trash.

Now, even though my car may sound like trash, at least I am not getting a , oh say, a puke green 1978 Cutlass Supreme. That make me feel a little better.

And hey, I got A/C! That's pretty good. So things aren't that bad after all. At least It will get me places.
